quality or Quantity?

When talking about health it is essential to understand the difference between quantity and quality.

Here at Davidshealthyliving we use a mixture of quantity based and quantity based measurements to first find out where the person in question is out of balance. After that we use a mixture of quantity based and quality based solutions.

An example of a quantity based measurement is when we measure the angle of the pelvis or measure how far forward the head is beyond what’s considered normal for a healthy human body.

An example of a quality based measurement would be looking at how well an individual can descend down into, sit in and stand up from a deep squat. Another would be the quality of an individual’s breathing.

When you’re looking to overcome your challenges and get back to a healthy expression of yourself both the quality and quantity aspects must be utilized.

Sound - Shape - Color - Motion Orientation are healing tools that are quality based.

Using a prescribed amount of time for something is a healing tool that is quantity based.

Generally speaking a quantity tool like time is used in conjunction with a quality tool like motion orientation (movement) to produce a healing effect within the human body. Doing twenty minutes of corrective stretching would be an example of this.

Utilizing the best of both worlds is when one is using a Holistic approach to resolve challenges.
