Centering, Yin-Yang

When it comes to healing there is a general approach out there even in the world of traditional Chinese medicine and alternative therapies that in order to create balance we need to utilize opposites.

In the Universe there are two forces.

Yin

&

Yang

Throughout history humans have used these opposites to try to find the center point of living. When we’re centered life flows smoothly. Working out is very yang, whereas sleeping is very yin.

Here at Davidshealthyliving we go a step farther.

We focus on centering practices. Centering practices bring a human being back into balance regardless of which direction they’re out of balance. This cannot be said for the traditional alternative approaches. This is why we we call our approach “truly holistic”. For example if someone is too yin you can prescribe them something yang such as working out. This can be over done and push the individual into an excessively yang state though. This can be done with someone who is too yang by giving them too many yin activities, foods, liquids etc.

When we’re centering what we are doing is allowing the body to find it’s natural center point. It’s learning to live from this centered place. This takes us out of the intellectual, black-white, 1-2 mentality towards life. We start to become more attuned to the seasons, the sun, the moon and all of the things influencing how our body is functioning at any given moment in time. It will balance the brain, the body and the mind. When we’re living from our center we feel more connected, empowered and loved. Learn to live from your center.

Love & life force be with you,

David with Davidshealthyliving
